BETTER HOMES AND GARDENS – You may know her from Restaurant: Impossible or her work revamping countless spaces for her Boston-based firm, but interior designer Taniya Nayak has a new gig: Ellen DeGeneres handpicked her to represent ED on Air, the comedian’s new whimsical home line for QVC. Writer Jolene Edgar interviewed Taniya for the November issue to find out about her fall obsessions–Ellen-related and otherwise:

“ED is Ellen’s nickname–it’s what Portia and her closest friends call her. These Chunky Becket Knit Throws are among my favorite things in the fall line. I love the textural design of the weave–it reminds me of my most beloved winter sweaters.”

“I always keep a travel candle like this one from Paddywax with me—the kind that comes in a tin with a lid—when I’m staying in a hotel, it really soothes me.”

“I like a heavy, precise liquid line on top, and Sephora Collection Long-Lasting 12HR Wear Eye Liner stays all day and doesn’t smudge. I pull it out a bit, extending the line just beyond my lashes, not a full cat eye.”

“The day cream and serum from Natura Bisse’s Cure line saved my skin. I’ve struggled with mild adult acne on the sides of my face–I think from the heavy TV makeup–but I started using these products, and suddenly, I feel like I can go out without any makeup on. I could never do that before. They evened my skin tone, and I don’t get blemishes anymore.”
