Taniya Nayak is one of the nation’s foremost interior designers. She became a household name as a design expert member on HGTV and Food Network. Taniya owns a successful, Boston-based interior design firm, Taniya Nayak Design, Inc. where she adds a fresh, clean look to both commercial and residential spaces.

Known for her sunny smile and sharp eye, Taniya Nayak’s approachable take on interior design has won over everyone from rock stars to first time homebuyers. Taniya’s knack for bringing rich textures and unexpected finishes together with practical, real-life functionality has made her a go-to expert for design programs on major networks including ABC, HGTV and Food Network.

Taniya Nayak has been regularly featured as both host and interior designer on HGTV shows including “Battle on the Beach” and “Build It Forward.” She is a featured designer on Food Networks “Restaurant Impossible” for the last 23 seasons and she is a judge on ABC’s primetime hit show “The Great Christmas Light Fight.”

A native of India, this Boston-based interior architect is known for creating memorable designs for trendy new restaurants, condo developments, and high-end residential projects all over the US.  Her latest design projects include Tuscan Market, Artisan Marriot Hotel, Yellow Door Taqueria (multiple locations), and numerous new Ruth’s Chris Steak House restaurants across the country.  She has designed for celebrities Ayesha Curry, Robert Irvine, Patrice Bergeron of the Bruins, and more.

In November 2021, Len-Tex and MDC Interior Solutions launched Taniya’s new collection of high-performance commercial grade wallcoverings.

Taniya is recognized for her appearances on Today, Good Morning America, The Ellen Degeneres Show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Talk, The View, and The Rachael Ray Show, as well as featured in Architectural Digest, Architectural Digest India, Design New England,Modern Luxury, People magazine, Better Homes & Gardens, Real Simple, Entertainment Weekly, and Cosmopolitan. Ellen Degeneres personally selected Taniya as her brand spokesperson for her home product line, “E.D. On Air,” featured on QVC.

Along with successfully owning her Boston based design firm, Taniya Nayak Design, she is co-owner to several restaurants in the Boston area with her husband Brian O’Donnell including Lower Mills Tavern, Yellow Door Taqueria, Madre Osteria, Moonshine Alley, and Citrus and Salt.

In Taniya’s free time she loves to dance salsa and hip hop, loves to cook and entertain, and she is a dog mom to an adorable English bulldog named Flynn.

Taniya supports the Room to Dream Foundation, Smile Train, No Kid Hungry, and Aksaya Patra Organization, and Tommy’s Place.

After receiving her bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from the New England School of Art and Design,  Jackie worked at a high-end residential design firm prior to joining the TND team in 2013. She has been instrumental in the evolution, growth and success of the company and has led the team in several commercial and residential projects from ground up. Her work ethic, attention to detail and client relations are of the highest level. Having taken pre-college courses at FIT in NYC, Jackie knew at a very young age that interior design was what she wanted to pursue.

Carolyn Govoni

While studying at The New England School of Art and Design at Suffolk University, Carolyn worked at a restaurant in the city where she solidified her passion for Hospitality. She left the service industry and began her career as a designer at a local firm for 4 years before joining Taniya Nayak Design. Carolyn’s greatest joy in Hospitality Design comes from experiencing the fruits of her labor and seeing the design in action. When she isn’t working on floor plans or developing concept boards, you’ll likely find her hiking and skiing in the White Mountains or painting landscape scenery on canvas.

Meet Mary, a driven and imaginative designer fueled by a passion for transforming spaces into inviting and vibrant areas that effortlessly generate happiness and lasting memories for her clients and those who experience them. Growing up with an architect father and a real estate agent mother, Mary’s interest in design and architecture was sparked at an early age. She spent her childhood traveling and studying architecture and design alongside her father. Her education at Drexel University further honed her skills, earning her a Bachelor of Science in Design & Merchandising and a minor in Product Design. Prior to joining our company, Mary worked at a high-end residential interior design firm, gaining invaluable experience in creating luxurious and functional living spaces. Her ability to understand clients’ needs and preferences makes her a valuable asset to our team. Outside of work, Mary enjoys spending time with her family in Maine and staying social through local intramural sports leagues including tennis and pickleball. She also has a love for shopping and enjoys discovering unique and stylish pieces to incorporate into her designs.

Alliegh Dillon

Alliegh started working at Taniya Nayak Design in early 2017. She is extremely personable and hardworking which made her a perfect fit as the Office Manager at TND. She manages all the office tasks with confidence ensuring the day runs smoothly. Besides her management skills Alliegh has a creative eye and her feedback is extremely valuable when assisting on design projects. Working with Alliegh is always a pleasure and she provides an instant sense of comfort to everyone who visits the office.
